Plans and what's included

Deeta is free to use. Paid plans lift the limits and raise your AI allowance.

Prices are shown in the app in your own currency. Monthly or yearly — yearly works out at roughly two months free, and subscribing through the website is a little cheaper than through the App Store.

What the limits actually mean

"Contacts with deets." You can hold as many contacts as you like on any plan. The limit is on how many of them carry deets — the rich extra information. Twenty is enough to get the idea; it fills up faster than you'd think.

"AI queries a month." Asking Deeta anything counts as one, whether typed, spoken or via Siri.

⚠️ That includes questions that aren't about your contacts. "How tall is Mount Fuji" is answered by your AI provider like any other question, so it uses one. On Free, ten goes quickly if you explore.

There's a second AI meter too — "AI capacity." It caps the total size of what you ask in a month, so a handful of enormous questions can't quietly consume the lot. Most people never see it. Both meters live in Settings → Usage, with the date they reset.

Questions answered on your iPhone are free and count toward neither meter, on every plan including Free. See Choosing how your questions are answered.

"Live cards out at once." How many of your cards can be keeping themselves up to date on other people's phones at the same time. Past the limit your card still sends — as a snapshot that won't update. See Sending a card that stays up to date.

Captures — turning something you said or pasted into deets — also have a monthly free allowance. Settings → Usage shows where you stand.

Free doesn't expire. No trial clock, no nagging. Stay on it indefinitely.

Which one

Plus — for most people. Unlimited contacts and deets, 500 queries a month, web-backed answers, custom reminders, and up to 15 live cards.

Pro — if you share your card widely: no limit on live cards, and 1,000 queries a month.

Power — the automation tier. The highest limits, a downloadable on-device model so more can be answered privately and for free, automatic use of a larger model when a question needs it, and new features about two weeks early.

Where you'll meet the paywall

Deeta doesn't interrupt you. The plans screen appears when you actually hit something:

• Adding a deet to a twenty-first contact

• Making a fourth top-level group

• Using your last AI query of the month

• Running out of monthly captures

• Asking something that needs a web lookup

• Setting a custom date reminder

• Sharing when all your live cards are in use (5 on Free, 15 on Plus). The share still goes, as a snapshot, and See plans opens the plans screen.

Each of those explains what you hit before it offers anything.

Troubleshooting

"You've used your free AI queries this month." Your allowance resets each cycle — Settings → Usage shows the date. Upgrade if you'd rather not wait, or switch to Private Mode, which is unmetered.

My queries went faster than I expected. General questions — anything not about your own contacts — are answered by your AI provider and count like any other. Questions answered on your iPhone don't.

Usage still says my free allowance is 4. The free allowance went up to 10. If you'd already asked something this month before that, your current month keeps the old number; the new one applies from your next cycle.

I upgraded and Usage still shows my old, lower limit. It catches up shortly. Close and reopen Deeta if it's still showing the old number — the new allowance is already yours, the screen is just behind.

It says I've used all my live cards. Free includes 5 at a time and Plus 15. Settings → Usage shows how many are claimed and how many are still waiting to be claimed. A live card comes back when you stop updating someone or take your details back, revoke a link nobody has claimed, or an unclaimed link expires.

The plans screen shows no prices. It's fetching them from the App Store. Check your connection and try again.

I'm on Plus but Deeta still says I'm limited. Try Restore purchases in Settings → Plan. See Managing your subscription.

I hit the contact limit but I only have 15 contacts. It counts contacts with deets. Contacts with just a name and number don't count.

I have AI queries left but Deeta says I'm out. You've likely hit AI capacity rather than the query count. Settings → Usage shows both.

Can I try Plus first? There's no trial. Monthly billing means you can leave after one month.

Questions

Does Free lose features later? No.

Can I share a plan with family? Not currently.

Do I need a plan to receive someone's card? No. Receiving, claiming and sharing all work on Free — including receiving cards that keep updating.

Does my plan follow me to a new iPhone? Yes — it's on your Apple ID. Your contacts don't; see Backing up and restoring.

What happens to my deets if I downgrade? Nothing is deleted. See Upgrading and downgrading.

What happens to live cards if I move to a lower plan? Every live card you already have keeps updating. If you're over the new plan's limit, new shares go as snapshots until you're back under it. See If your plan changes.
