Backing up and restoring — read this one
The one thing to understand
Your contacts live on your iPhone. Deeta has no copy.
That's the whole privacy proposition — nobody at Deeta can read your contacts, because they were never sent to us. It also means nobody at Deeta can hand them back if you lose them.
Your iPhone's own backup does include Deeta's data, encrypted, so a new iPhone restored from that backup can bring it back. But the single most useful thing you can do in this app is still export a backup — the copy you control, which works on any iPhone. It takes about ten seconds.
Do it before you change iPhone and before you delete and reinstall. Do it now if you never have.
Your subscription is different — it lives on your Apple ID and follows you to a new phone on its own. Arriving on a new device to a working plan and an empty Deeta is normal, not a bug.
